“Design – a national workshop on creating effective MCQs  ” February 17th and 18th 2014

Manipal Center for Professional and Personal Development(MCPD) in collaboration with the Dr TMA Pai Endowment Chair in Medical Education Manipal University and Departments of Medical Education Kasturba Medical College, Manipal & Mangalore is organising DESIGN (A National Workshop on Creating Effective MCQs) on 17th and 18th February 2014 at MCPD, Manipal University, Karnataka

DESIGN is a one-day hands-on, evidence-based workshop facilitated by international faculty in which participants will learn to write and review integrative, competency-based multi-choice questions (MCQs). Development of MCQs using patient-based scenarios for both basic science and clinical instruction will be covered. Hence, clinical and basic science faculty from medical colleges are invited to apply. Besides developing MCQs that test higher order cognitive skills, participants will have an opportunity to critique and evaluate MCQs for quality assurance.
